Hi everyone!
Not been on the site for a while and have been busy working towards our visa....we have TRA and State sponsorship and have lodged our visa and are now waiting for a case officer to tell us to go for medical (hopefully very soon!!) We have been back a couple of weeks from a reccie to Oz visited my sister in Perth and did a 2 day flying visit to Canberra, to look at areas/schools etc...got loads of great information and were really looking forward to getting out there now....can't wait!
Can anyone recommend any accommodation for the first 2 weeks or so when we get there? everything seems to be staying in a b&b or hotel but we have found these really expensive, we are looking at renting for at least a year....have registered interest with the independent property group and lj hooker who have advised us to get in contact as soon as we get there to start looking... We have found a holiday (sort of caravan park) that we think will be suitable for a couple of weeks untill we get a rental.... We are hoping to be going out in sept time but dont know how long visas are taking to go through ...we have friends who's took only 3 1/2 mths from lodgment but also heard that theres alot more people now coming to the ACT so may be in for a longer wait....
Would be great to get in touch with people before going out... I have 2 girls 8 and 3 and my husband is a printer and im in the Travel Industry although dont work at the minute....
