Try Stayz - No 1 in Holiday Accommodation Rentals or Real Estate, Property, Land and Homes for Sale, lease and rent - realestate.com.au - they have a holiday/short term rental section too.

I would definitely try to find somewhere before you arrive, at least for the first couple of weeks - that'll give you chance to have a good look around to find a more permanent base etc.
