The first week sorting banks etc ,then my husband has had to under go certain courses to get certificates, yes you do need a certificate to pee here!

we have done lots of driving around different suburbs ,this really does help in deciding what is a nice area or not, secret harbour were we are now is lovely especially as we have two young children.mandurah 10mins down the road is also nice.infact we have just sucured a rental in madora bay abrand new 4x2 really close to beach, parks shops etc.

also had a trip up north this week ,mainly to find ikea ,drove up the coast road to hillarys, scarborough, mindarie absolutly beautiful up north ,infact my husband wanted to start looking for a rental up there.but as we have one lined up I wont risk it as they are hard to come by .

Jobs i have never seen so many jobs advertised in one paper ,most are plentiful even cleaners are getting $17ph + ,lots of driving jobs ,beauticians, hairdressers.
my husband is a joiner but he is not doing that over here ,but from what it seems there is jobs here for trades ,everywhere you look houses are half finished ,new estates going up everywhere.

shopping. food expensive you have to go to different places for certain things, spudshed for all your fruit+veg half the price of the supermarkets.but im still learning anyway its good for the diet .

clothes carnt say ive had a good look, but we needed sun hats for the kids cheapest i could find from kmart were $20 each and sun suits very expensive so anyone with kids stock up on beachwear ,sunglasses etc

if anyone wants any info just let me know and i will try to help?
Hi

We are still trying to decide between Perth and the Gold Coast, but need to make our minds up fairly quickly because we need to tell our agent as we are applying for a 176 State Sponshorship Visa.

Lots of people have advised that there is a lot of work in and around the Gold Coast, but we're not sure about Perth!

Eammon is a carpenter - from what you say, it seems that there is plenty of work out there too?

We also have two children (12 & 6) - what about schools and things to do?

I would be really grateful for any advice you can give. I just want to be sure we make the right choice?

Many thanks

Denise
