I don't know the answers to your questions but I use the vaccum bags inside the wardrobes to put my winter quilts and spare pillows in. They are really good but im not sure if they would sweat inside your container which would ruin all your new bedding. I have read on here somewhere that you cant even use the plastic boxes that you would put toys etc in. Not sure if this helps but im sure someone will know the answers. You could however use the vac bags inside your suitcases and just hope you dont get stopped at customs or you might never get your stuff back inside the case
