Only been here three months with four kids aged 16 (oops now 17) a 15yr old, 13yr old and 11yr old.
It was awful before we left the UK and awful when we first got here, (as the older two left girlfriends) and when they are that age its the end of the world for them. I was the worst mother in the world apparently, dragging them away from everything they know and love and they hated me for it.... But as i'm sitting here typing this post tonight, my eldest son went swimming at the beach 2nite with some young ladies he has met since we've been here
, my other son is sleeping over at a mates house and my youngest two have knicked some apples out of my fridge again, and gone out on there bikes to feed the near by horses !!! We have a constanst stream of kids in and out of the house now, the phone never stops ringing and its never for us anymore, it always for them, and they all love it here !!!!!!
Im sure they will have their moments in the months and years to come but right now, its all going well !!!! So there is hope..........Amen..........
p.s. Thanks for the tip on joining a club or getting a hobby. Im trying to find a chocolate and wine tasting club I can join !!!!!!!
