Hi all

My boyfriend Adrian and I will be moving to Melbourne from Worcestershire in the UK in late May 2008. We are both in our early 30's, professionals with no kids (as yet)! We have both been lucky enough to secure jobs in the CBD. We have just returned from visiting Melbourne for the first time and now face the v.daunting task of going through the emigration process! We would love to hear from other Brits based in Melbourne. We do have a few questions if anyone can help:

1. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to live? Ideally we are looking for a 3-4bed house with a pool and possibly about an acre of land in a rural or coastal seting. We did like Berwick but the commute of 50 mins to the CBD is a bit far.

2. Has anyone arranged for their pets (in particular a cat(s)) to be sent over to Oz?

3. Can you get Sky tv over there?

4. What is the weather really like, we keep hearing about 4 seasons in one day but it was 30c plus during our entire stay!

We would love to hear from anyone out there with any suggestions on how to make the process easier xxxxxxxx
