Hi Andrea
I have only experienced Singapore and Emirates for this journey and would recommend them both.
People with young children, particularly under 1-2yrs have priority for the bulkhead seats which have room in front for the children to get down and play on the floor, so make sure you request these seats when checking in, pref online or by phone.
Having said that we have just flown back with Emirates the first leg of 14hrs was on an Airbus 340-300 and the leg room was less than we have experienced before, I have just looked on seat guru and it was only 31" instead of 32" or 33" on thier other aircraft. The second leg of 8hrs was on a 777 with more leg room and better entertainment.
I find the food good, I have a wheat free diet and my daughter is veggie, but the men don't complain much, well maybe about the amount of salad and fruit - a little too healthy for them! they feed the children first and they get a toy.
hope this helps
