Life on easy street is on a distinguished road
This really depends on your circumstances

This really depends on your circumstances

If you are very close to an age deadline e.g. 45
Then I would use an agent because there is no time for a second chance

If you are a few years away from an age dead line then it may be worth while
Considering trying it your self you will need to quite bit of research on the Internet

Advantage of using an agent
Any mistakes in the paper work are spotted before your application is sent to
Australia.

Guide you through all the steps of the application process

Always some one at the end of the phone to help you fill the
Required forms.

Provide Templates for the best way to have references written

Advise you of any changes in immigration rules

Should any problems arise suggest possible solutions

Less stress.

Disadvantage of using an agent
Can cost up to 3500 k depending on which agent you use and your circumstances
(The cheapest is not always the best).
paper going to Australia via agent can take a few extra day's

Advantage of not using an agent
Lot cheaper
You feel smug if your application is successful

Disadvantage of not using an agent
Can be stress full if things start to go wrong
With no one to turn to.

You have to do all your research your self

You have to keep your eyes open for any changes in rules.
