forgot to add you need to get your copies certified by a notary - usually a solicitor- look in yellow pages, this means they copy them & stamp the copies to certify they are a genuine copy- it must be a registered notary to do this, it can be expensive on a per sheet basis, unless you jnow a friendly solicitor who'll do you a job lot for a fixed fee! I don't know about the de-facto stuff, have you looked through the immi site for any sdvice on unmarried partners? Also try one of the agencies that tout on here they are very good sourcs of free info, but you may have to wait for a callback.
