Each state has their own educational system...
as we are only looking at perth i have only the info for WA but there are links on their site to other areas.... here is the link:

this is a good page as it works out when your child can start school - it also tells you about other state start dates as well

Early Childhood Education

on the WA site each school has a report like an ofsted...
