I am a Civil Engineer and will hopefuly be working on the Pacific Highway upgrade, from your desciption Coffs Harbour sounds lovely. We will be having friends moving to Sydney early next year, he will be working in CBD, but i think if i am going to Australia then i would like to live the Australian "lifestyle", which is by the beach etc.

My only concerns is that my wife will get lonley being in a new country with out any friends. I suppose there is an airport and it is only a short flight to Sydney to visit our friends.
