Coffs is gorgeous! We would love to go and live there. if you search the forum (on the tool bar next to quick links) you will find some 'threads' on Coffs Harbour. It's got a pop of 65,000, pretty spread out. One big few shopping mall, a few big car garages, out of town style retail parks. stunning beaches, great little airport, hospital, uni, good private school for primary and secondary. We'd be there in a shot if I get my visa but the one worry for us is job prospects.

My husband is an Accountant and whilst there are several Practices there, there aren't necessarily jobs going very often.

The climate sounds good to us, never gets horrifically hot and there is a bit of rain. The Hinterland is beautiful, if you like greenery and rolling hills.

What do you do job-wise?

If you have any more specific queries, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Other Brits in Coffs? Well, the bank manager of ANZ is Scottish and he was really helpful when we were there for our reckie in July. We have friends in Sydney so that's the obvious place to go, but neither of us want a city life, it's huge, roads terribly busy and frankly, part of the appeal of moving is down-sizing and enjoying family life more. Coffs offers just that whereas Sydney would be more like being here but without the family back-up.

I'm green with envy, i wish we had a job offer there!
