Hi Andy, I'm still a novice at all this but what I've found since starting the "move to Oz process"(we've just sent the visa application off) is that theres a
lot of paperwork initially & you have to repeat & repeat yourself on forms. In all honesty we couldn't have gone thro' it without a migration agency(we're using the visa bureau) they help you step by step. However it is costly & they estimate appx £4000 for fees & medicals etc. On top of that you have solicitors costs cos certificates & references need to be certified. Having said that even tho' we've had rows over difficulties getting refs etc we're more keen than ever. I spoke to someone yesterday who's just come back from a reccie in Brisbane & they said the houses aren't that cheap, food etc isn't cheap, wages are lower & fashions crap!!
BUT we want to go to get out of the rat race & for a better
Lifestyle!! Hope I don't sound pessimistic, best of luck Michele x
