Hi Laura & Matt
I'm not too sure if our input is helpful, my OH is a forklift engineer but when he applied to the TRA he was told he would be classed as a fitter. I think the principle is the same when it comes to all the paperwork you have to do.

Your paperwork has to be very detailed i.e describing all work under taken throughout a working day/week. Explaining how jobs are carried out, tools that are used to do the job. Your employer also has to back up your daily routine
where you work/worked (first job to present employer)
what position you held
what your duties were/ how often you carried them out
ALL tools used
Any health & safety issues carried out
Present and previous employers have to give statements
Any certificates/courses/apprenticeship they will need copies off (certified)

We had a sample paper from our agent just so we understood the information the TRA required.

Hope I haven't over done it.
All I can say is the more information you give them the better.
Are you doing it yourself or are you going to use agent?

best wishes

Karen & keith
