Hi Sarah,
We are in the same situation (flying out in four weeks time) and have decided not to have a leaving party.
Not because we don't want to see people, but because I don't think that I could handle all the goodbyes all together
Instead we are having the week off before we go and will go and see the people nearest and dearest to us to say 'au revoir' (won't say goodbye as that emplies won't see them again)
It will be hard, but so is everything in life that is worth doing.
Our packers are coming on Tuesday and our animals are going to new homes this weekend
I hope it all goes ok whether you decide on a party or not!
Take care and just remember there are loads of great people on here that have been through/are going through the same as us
