Hi, just wondering what peoples views are on having a leaving party? Did you have one or not and were you glad that you did?

My husband wants to have one but I don't. Some of the relatives that would come haven't seen us for years and we probably wouldn't see them for many more unless there was a wedding or something like that.

I am dreading the goodbyes as I know when the first person starts crying it will set me off just because they are crying not because I am sad to leave.

Any views would be appreciated.
