Hi! It can be very daunting at first. I'd shop around for an agent first and find one you're comfortable with - I have heard a few bad reports about visa bureau. Go Matilda have been excellent so far for us and are a lot cheaper too!
After that, forums such as this one and Go Matilda's are great for finding out the answers to all of the questins swimming around your head (you can search for specific things).
Once you have an agent they'll walk you through the process, which involves getting your hubby's skills assessed (paperwork) then applying for the right kind of visa (more paperwork).
Then it's a matter of organising things like shippers if you're taking your stuff, or pets, and dreaming about life down under!
Where are you thinking of heading?
