It's rude if the host doesn't supply cutlery. If they don't supply plates as well, I would suggest spilling your food on the carpet - that'll learn 'em.
And, before you ask, it's not necessary to take your own firewood or heatbeads either. I am beginning to think that someone is not taking their "Oz lessons" seriously. :)
